Gonçalo acts as of counsel at magellan IP Portugal. Gonçalo has over thirty years of professional experience in the area of intellectual property in Portugal. He has been a partner of well-known Portuguese law firms, as head of the intellectual property practice.

Gonçalo represents important national and international clients, from different segments, ranging from small to large multinational companies, in trademark and design, management of portfolios of intellectual property rights, IP strategy development, and IP litigation in Portugal.

Gonçalo regularly participates in intellectual property conferences around the world, having been part of several study commissions of different associations such as CCI and WIPO.

Education

• Bachelor of Laws from the Lusíada University, Lisbon.

• Post-graduation in “Droit de la Propriété Industrielle”, from the CEIPI – Centre d’Études Internationales de la Propriété Industrielle of the Strasbourg Law School.

• Master's Degree in “Accords et Propriété Industrielle" from the Strasbourg Law School.
