Alex is one of the partners of the Life Sciences team, with over 15 years of professional experience in the field of intellectual property.

His commitment throughout the years has led to his professional recognition of both his peers and clients, and in 2018 he was appointed Adjunct-coordinator of the Biotechnology Committee of ABPI.

Prior to joining magellan IP, Alex worked for five years as the head of the patent department of the Brazilian office of a renowned multinational Intellectual Property firm, and previously as an associate of a boutique Brazilian IP firm. Before starting his career in Intellectual Property, Alex acted for over four years in R&D the field of immunology, at FIOCRUZ, a well-known Brazilian research Institution, and in the pharmaceutical industry at Glaxo SmithKline.
